Howick Church Endowed Primary School is a coeducational Church of England school in Penwortham, Preston. It was founded in 1878 and is a Voluntary Aided School within the Diocese of Blackburn. The school welcomes children of all backgrounds and abilities, and offers a stimulating and creative learning environment where children are encouraged to develop their knowledge and understanding in a secure, caring and nurturing atmosphere. The school strives to meet each individual child's needs and provides a broad and balanced curriculum. The school was awarded an 'Outstanding' rating in its October 2013 Ofsted inspection. Pupils have frequent opportunities to learn outside the classroom, with enrichment activities such as visits to Blackpool Zoo, the beach, and other places of interest in the local area. In addition, the school has a dedicated Extended School Team offering a range of afterschool activities and clubs. The school has a strong presence within the local community, with regular events such as their annual summer fete, Christmas carol service and craft fairs. The school motto is 'Credo Et Laboro', meaning 'Believe and Work'.*
