Al-Hira School is a voluntary-aided (VA) Islamic faith school for boys and girls aged 4 - 11 years old located in Birmingham, England. The school was established in 1978 and is currently the only VA Islamic faith school in the city. It is a double site school with 2 distinct campuses, one based in Balsall Heath serving pupils from reception to year six and the other based in Aston serving pupils from reception to year two. The school provides an Islamic-focused education, which is underpinned by the National Curriculum, and teaches Arabic as a foundation subject. Al-Hira School has a strong approach to learning, placing emphasis on education through purposeful academic, social, moral and spiritual development. The school operates with a strong partnership ethos, fosters a welcoming atmosphere, and works in line with the Islamic faith to promote the best in each pupil.*
